The practice of “letting go” involves mentally releasing attachment to something. Attachment can be to an idea, a feeling, a person, a place, or a thing. Attachment brings many self-preserving benefits like comfort, familiarity, routine, stability, trust, achievement and focus to name a few.

Suicide Awareness Event
On September 13th, Jenny-Lee Almeida of the Canadian Mental Health Association provided education about the sensitive topic of suicide. Teammate Shawnna Capiuk shared her own personal story regarding self-harm and suicidal thoughts. The discussion was hosted by Ross Taylor, Mental Health Program Manager.
